Actions

◆◆: Pincers. Melee unarmed attack, Exertion(STR) to hit. 2d6 + STR bludgeoning damage. Target must make Exertion(STR) of Dodge(AGI) check equal to the damage taken, max 40, or become grappled. Cannonback Lobster cannot use that pincer until it releases the creature, which it can do as a free action. Grappled creature or another creature that has grappled creature in melee range can use ◆ to make Exertion(STR) contest against Cannonback Lobster ending the grapple on success.

◆◆: Water Jet. Ranged unarmed attack, Range 5 m. Precision(VIT) to hit, 1d10 + VIT bludgeoning damage. If the target has flying speed it must make Resilience(STR) check equal to the damage taken or be pushed 2 m directly away from Cannonback Lobster and have its flying speed halved until the beginning of Cannonback Lobster's next turn. This effect does not stack. Targets without flying speed must make Toughness(STR) check equal to the damage taken, max 40, or be moved 1 m directly away from Cannonback Lobster

Lore

The Cannonback Lobster is a colossal crustacean said to dwell in deep volcanic trenches where the pressure of the sea forces strange adaptations. Over centuries its shell grows layered chambers of hardened chitin and mineral deposits that function like natural cannons; the creature fills these cavities with seawater and violently compresses it using powerful internal muscles, firing blasts strong enough to shatter ship hulls or city walls. Sailors claim these beasts were once ordinary giant lobsters that learned to hunt surface vessels, evolving their cannons after generations of feeding on wreckage and metal sunk to the ocean floor.
