When you cast: Protective flames surround the caster that can immediately use Flare Shield action as part of casting this spell. For the duration of the spell the caster has resistance to heat damage and damage reduction of ⨂. If ⨂ is 4 or more the caster gets immunity to heat damage instead. Whenever the caster is hit by an attack it immediately makes Flare Shield action as a free action. For the duration the caster also gains the following action:

While caster is focusing on the spell, it gains the following actions:

◆: Flare Shield. Maintains focus. The shield's fire lashes out for ⨂ m burning every creature in the area. Those creatures must make Resilience(AGI) check against the caster's spellcasting DC or take ⨂d4 + caster's spellcasting trait heat damage. If ⨂ is 2 or more the targets take half of the damage on success.

Focus loss penalty: If focus is lost before the spell's duration is up the shield immediately perform Flare Shield, hitting the caster as well as any other creature in the area.
