Durations: ⨂ hours, focus

When you cast: Caster freezes a 5⨂ m radius area centred on a point it can see within 20 m. If ⨂ is 3 or more it freezes the area with a 50⨂ m radius instead. If ⨂ is 6 or more it freezes the area of 500⨂ m radius instead. If ⨂ is 9 or more the radius is 5⨂ km instead. Whenever a creature starts its turn in the area it must make Resilience(VIT) check against caster's spellcasting DC or take 1d4 + caster's spellcasting trait cold damage. Plants gain one level of disadvantage on this check and take double the damage. On complete fail creatures also gain one level of frozen. Then if those creatures have 3 or more levels of frozen they also gain one level of hypothermia. The whole area is a difficult terrain for creatures without cold resistance. For the duration of the spell the caster gains resistance to cold damage and the following actions:

While caster is focusing on the spell, it gains the following actions:

◆: Temporary Respite. Maintains focus. Up to 4⨂ target creatures caster senses in 5 m gain resistance to cold until the end of caster's next turn.

◆◆: Cold touch. Maintains focus. Melee spell attack. Any target in area the caster is aware of even if outside the caster's normal melee range. ⨂d8 + caster's spellcasting trait cold damage. The target must make Resilience(VIT) check equal to the damage taken or gain one level of frozen.

◆◆◆: Coming of Spring. The caster regains DP equal to half of the remaining time in hours, then the spell ends. The temperature in the area normalises over the next hour.

◆◆◆, 1 DP: Encase in Cold. Maintains focus. This spell is extended by 2 hours.

Focus loss penalty: if focus is lost before the end of the spell's duration, the caster loses cold resistance and all abilities granted by this spell. The frostfall remains in place for its full duration at which point the temperature in the area normalises over the next hour.
